  • Ikasu is a phytosanitary product that protects and ensures flowering.
  • Fruit trees such as almond, cherry, plum, persimmon, hazelnut, apricot and grapefruit have been added to its registration with nº 22,987.

LIDA Plant Research, a Valencian biotech company, has announced the extension of the phytosanitary registration of its innovative product Ikasu, a phyto-regulator with phytosanitary registration that protects and ensures flowering. Thanks to this extension, Ikasu will be available for use on crops such as almond, cherry, plum, hazelnut, persimmon, apricot and grapefruit, among others.

This Japanese technology product has established itself as a key tool for optimising agricultural productivity in adverse conditions. Ikasu acts by means of a double mechanism of enzymatic activity.

Outstanding benefits:

  • It stimulates the production of natural auxins, increasing the number of auxin receptors and prolonging their stability by inhibiting their oxidation. This favours their accumulation in the tissues and improves plant development.
  • It boosts cytoplasmic movement (sap flow) by up to 15%, acting as a vector that enhances and accelerates the effect of systemic fungicides.
  • It prevents premature flower drop, optimises pollen tube growth, improving fruit set and fruit set.

Tests carried out with Ikasu have demonstrated its efficacy in environmental conditions during flowering with rain and cold weather, with an early sprouting of one week, consolidating it as an essential ally for growers seeking to maximise the productivity and quality of their crops.
